Well If You Are A Romantic At Heart, You Will Love This Post!

A husband and wife who both happen to be interior designers have found a way to blend their ideas and taste to make a pleasing home. I love everything French, especially settee's so I was a goner from the moment I saw this article in Traditional Home mag. Oct. 2009. The photos are by Ricardo Labougle. The couple lives in Mexico but the wife is a Paris-born designer. Her father is French and his is Mexican but they share American moms. They have two little boys ages 3 and 4 years old.

After I saw this article, it made me want to just strip my walls and start all over from scratch. I got a bunch of pics. blown up which cost a fortune since one is the size of a huge tapestry. Now I have to wait until I have the money to afford to frame them! ha,ha. Oh, well on with the story.

I love the floors. I know Joni Webb would say they need rugs but I like the idea of them being indestructable for two little boys.

The focal point for the dining room is a stripped down old alter.

Below, the doors are decorated with a collage of religious charms. There is a beautiful terrace off the living room and dining room.

Here is a picture of the view of the town from the terrace. The boys are having a good time playing in their tepee in the courtyard.

Oh, to have a tub like that to soak in!

Serene master bedroom. I would have put a rug in this room.

When the couple met, she was working for Martha Stewart Living as an art director and going to Road Island School of Design. Her husband was at Parson's School of Design in New York. A rather unique and nice hook-up wouldn't you say?

  1. Nancy,
Thank you for your comment on my blog. I can only imagine how I must sound...when things could be much more serious. Your comment really made me pause (in a good way) and take a deep breath. Thank you. You are in my thoughts.

Also, if you've signed on as a follower to my blog you should get notifications when I update with new posts. If you don't let me know and I'll see if there's some issue with it...but it should be ok.

Oh! And about this post...so many elements in the pics above that I adore. Love the settees in the first 2 pics, would love to see more od the light fixture in their master bedroom--looks fabulous!
