A Beautiful Kitchen

This is a kitchen that I could just stay lost in.... and it appeared in the October 2009 issue of Traditional Home Magazine. The pictures were taken by Bruce Buck. The designer was Denise Rinfret and she was quoted as saying, that "a kitchen should be an inviting, friendly, functional and beautiful space". As far as I am concerned, she nailed it.

It sports an elegant pair of 17th century antique English lanterns over the island. The colors are just so soft and warm and easy on the eye.

Note the Swedish clock up against the wall. The table was designed to seat twelve but is also used for homework projects and serving buffets. The table butts up a wooden settee. The colorful pink and blue pillows and the use of plaid slipcovered fabric along with the linen covered wing back chairs at each end of the table just finish it off so well.

I also like the plate rack over the sink.

This home is meant for the Hamptons.

  1. When I bought my house through costa rica homes for sale
I expected to have a big stove in the kitchen with a huge space, now I am really happy because I can cook every kind of recipe in my huge stove. I really love it.
