Now my questions to you are, what is it? Should I try to polish the silver tray with silver polish or paint it with a silver paint to freshen it up? What liquers are you supposed serve in the glasses? How much should I try and sell it for?
HELP.
later.
Nancy, I'm not sure what it is, but I think it would be great to serve little snaks or something like that. I would just clean a small portion of it with a silver cleaner and see how it turns out before you do all of it. Love those glasses also! Looks like you found some great buys. Blessings... Daphne
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that you were able to go to Goodwill. I love going and may even be a bit addicted to thrifting. I am not sure what it is either,it is very unique. If it were mine,I probably wouldn't polish or paint it unless it is really worn or tarnished. I will be praying that you have a good week ahead of you,one with renewed strength.
ReplyDeleteI just learned about using ammonia on these things, use small damp, soft brush and see how it turns out. let me know
ReplyDeleteI love the images on your blog, I am going to get a lot of inspiration and just eye candy going through the archives ( I am new to the blog). A lot of them seem somehow different to what I have seen elsewhere, which is good..
ReplyDeleteI really just wanted to say hello. I am very sorry, very sorry to hear of your ill health at the moment. Sending all my best wishes to you.
That's an interesting piece. Not sure if I can help with the questions much, sorry. I would polish it up and see how it looks before decided about the silver paint.
I am having a hard time finding you and I want to say thank you for all of your kind words and for signing up as a follower. Look forward to hearing from you again.
ReplyDeletelove to you and your's,
nancy
